I first visited Wahoo’s Fish Taco in Denver and have been going back ever since. It seems much more appropriate that Wahoo’s, with its surfboarding theme, has a location in Hawaii. The location I frequented is in Ala Moana. Time permitting, I would get my food to go and sit at the Ala Moana Beach park for a picnic dinner. Wahoo’s has a good selection of burritos, salads, and tacos. A pitcher of margaritas or local beers are usually popular with a group as well! If you collect stickers, just ask at the counter and if they have any on hand, they will gift one to you.

Just a Margarita in Hawaii
Famous for mai tais, lava flows, lychee martinis, and other island inspired drinks, each bar and restaurant in Hawaii seems to have a fancy signature beverage to offer patrons. When I just want a plain old Mexican margarita with friends, I will skip the beach bars in Waikiki and head to Wahoo’s Fish Taco in the Ala Moana neighborhood where they offer glasses or pitchers of the sweet, frozen concoction in several different flavors. There is indoor and outdoor seating and occasional live music and menu specials throughout the week. This is also a perfect lunch stop between the beach and shopping activities. Wahoo’s be achy menu is full of burrito and fish taco options along with some salads and bowl (no burrito shell) options.
