The Tin Shed is probably nowhere near wherever you might be in Portland but that matters not. Get a cab and go over there because the biscuits are so good they’ll make you wanna slap yo mama! You serve yourself coffee while you wait under the covered patio seating, they welcome dogs and their bloody mary is spectacular. This place rocks. Go check it out.

Breakfast Bloodies in the Garden
Empty glasses join cleaned plates at this NE Portland brunch bar. I’m always happy to wait in the rain to find a seat in the enclosed, heated patio dining space. They peel off all the plastic and open things up when the weather gets nice, but it’s cozy any time of year. Because it’s “outdoors,” don’t be surprised to find canine friends lying around. Then there’s the food... Come for the Bloodies and stay for the scrambles, or biscuits, or French toast. I love the breakfast menu because it has a bit of the traditional injected with a dash of the extraordinary. It means I can eat here often, and I rarely find myself bored with the cuisine. And if I slip into a rut, another round of Bloodies rights the ship. With menu items like Fetch, Sin, RollOver, and Belly Teaser; how hard can this be? The Shed has lunch and dinner to go with an eclectic beer selection and full bar if you happen to stop in later on the feeding schedule. Stay hungry before showing up, even with the wait, you’ll be glad you left room for the generous helpings. This place is really busy on the weekends I’ve been by. No reservations and probably not the best for the big group. The coffee’s always fresh, the staff friendly, and the scene PDX. The Alberta neighborhood is full of shops, eateries, and watering holes that you can wander to walk off the spare tire you just inhaled. It is a part of PDX that continues to evolve and grow with a welcoming vibe. Come, eat, hang, have fun.
