Owners Bryan Lewis and Eric Gaspard recently opened the Twisted Cork Café, a wine-focused restaurant located in the historic Frenchtown district of Charlotte Amalie. The neighborhood, which is busy with cruise passengers during the day, slows down to a more mellow island speed in the evenings. Daily specials, which often feature just-caught fish and produce from an on-site garden, are recommended.

Dine with a Smile at Twisted Cork Café
Located in Frenchtown, a historic enclave of French Caribbean culture set on the waterfront at the west end of Charlotte Amalie, the Twisted Cork Café combines understated surroundings with exceptional cuisine to produce one of the finest dining experiences in St. Thomas. The emphasis here is on high quality food and even better service, the latter sometimes in short supply in St. Thomas’ more touristy spots. From exotic entrees like Blue Crab Stuffed Lionfish to a Salmon Risotto (served with a Port wine balsamic reduction sauce that I still have dreams about): Twisted Cork satisfies in typically exceptional French style.
