The Railway Society of Newfoundland Historic Train Site at Humbermouth pays tribute to the Baldwin Steam Locomotive #593, otherwise known as the famous “Newfie Bullet,” which chugged across Newfoundland from 1921 to 1939. The train was doomed in the end thanks to an engineering failure, thus resulting in its short period of use. The historic site features the rolling stock, tracks and freight shed. You can also peruse the telegraph instruments, signal board, train orders, phones and many historic photos.
