Much of Lisbon’s appeal lies in its sheer beauty. From the rust-toned rooftops across the whitewashed Alfama district to the Pombaline architecture of Baixa, the city is very easy on the eyes. For the very best views, head skyward to Park Bar, located on the rooftop of a Bairro Alto parking garage. There, you’ll find a just-trendy-enough mix of scenester residents and tourists, sipping on white-port-and-tonics while enjoying expansive vistas from the Tagus River to the bell towers of Santa Catarina Church.

A rooftop bar with its own personality

The best thing about this place is the guy that imagined that his life mission was to transform the top level of a parking garage into a terrace bar. Well, let me say that he did it! Simply called Park, it proclaims itself the first suspended garden of Lisbon, where the young and daring of the Lisbon trendy set come for drinks. You might think that the location and views of Lisbon’s red roofline easing its way into the Tagus are the bar’s greatest assets, or the incredibly engaging music selection of jazz, deep house, and synth pop, but it’s the young, witty, and creative atmosphere that the bar creates and which its keen customers connect with. When the sun goes down, the moonlight is all that you need to realize that your drink is finished and you need another one to share the good times with your friends.
