LAGO at Bellagio

Bellagio’s newest restaurant, LAGO by celebrity chef Julian Serrano, overlooks the resort’s popular fountains. It’s a view to be remembered, especially when paired with one or many of the small plates on the menu. A lot of thought has been put into the cocktail menu at LAGO (down to the restaurant-branded ice cubes), and the bellini is one of the best in Las Vegas. LAGO’s menu features a variety of seafood and Italian-inspired items perfect for sharing, but dinner here certainly isn’t complete without ordering something off the dessert menu. Try to get a seat on the patio for the perfect Las Vegas backdrop to complement your meal.

I’m in Las Vegas every year for a large tradeshow, and I always entertain clients in the evenings. This time I took clients to Cirque’s “O” show, and to keep things simple I decided to try dinner at Lago, a relatively new restaurant located in the Bellagio also. The plates are designed for sharing, and are generally italian-style tapas. Everything we tried was fantastic! I had clients from all around the world at dinner, and everyone was raving about the food. I had asked to be seated on the patio, which faces towards the bellagio fountain show. It was truly a special evening. The restaurant itself has a modern, airy feel and was a lot less chaotic than some other Vegas restaurants. Service was excellent, with knowledgeable staff that were friendly without intruding on the dinner. I will definitely choose this spot again, for work or pleasure!
