An atoll with four islets, Kuop also goes by the name Neoch. Just southeast of Chuuk Lagoon, this idyllic spot has all the ingredients of a perfect South Pacific screen saver or travel poster: palms leaning over sugar-white beaches and piercingly bright turquoise waters. Dive charters run out to this uninhabited area when the seas are calm enough; expect about a 30 percent markup over two-tank prices within the reef, though, to compensate for extra gas and travel times.
