In a country famous for producing Jerk chicken, one of the world’s most singularly fantastic chicken flavors, it’s amazing that KFC reigns supreme. Indeed, KFC restaurants, like this one located just a short walk up from The Courtleigh Hotel & Suites, where I stayed on my last visit to Jamaica, are among the busiest lunch, dinner, and late-night snack spots all over the country. Why? Ask most any Jamaican and they’ll tell you: “Our KFC is just the best.” What exactly makes it the best, though, is open for debate. One taste, though, and you’re liable to agree.
