One of the most entertaining things I did while in Lima, Peru was paying a visit to Hacienda Mamacona. Here you’re treated to a folk show that incorporates different artistic and cultural aspects pertaining to Peru’s culture. Even though the dancing is incredible, the true highlight of the show is the Peruvian Paso Horse. This athletic horse is so well-trained and athletic that at one point they dance with female folk dancers, mirroring their movements. The show, which requires reservations (See website link below), runs every Thursday at 5:00 pm. In addition to the show, tickets include a Peruvian style buffet and a complimentary beverage.
