Surrounded by swaying palms, tropical flowers, pink sand, and sapphire waters, the 100-acre Fairmont Southampton is Bermuda’s ultimate luxury destination. The 593 rooms and suites are among the largest on the island, and feature marble baths stocked with Le Labo products and private balconies that look out onto the Atlantic Ocean, Great Sound Harbour, or the lush landscaping of the on-site Turtle Hill Golf Club. A pool, beach club, dive center, kid’s camp, and tennis courts—plus that 18-hole championship course—offer plenty to keep guests busy. If you prefer to kick back, opt for a lavender-oil massage at Willow Stream Spa, a sprawling space complete with a well-stocked health club, sauna, and steam rooms, or grab a sundowner at one of the resort’s 10 restaurants, bars, and lounges.

Rejuvenation and Relaxation Times Two
Warm bamboo massage, reflexology, and hot stone massage give couples a luxurious and relaxing treat during their stay in Bermuda. Sip champagne and nibble strawberries at the Newstead Belmont Hills Golf Resort and Spa, where Swedish massage for two is performed in a luxurious couple’s suite. La Serena at The Reefs Resort and Club, named a “Top 25 spa in Atlantic and Caribbean” in Conde Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Poll, has a relaxation room with an ocean view. The day spa at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess, the pink palace overlooking Hamilton harbor, offers facials, deep tissue massage, aromatherapy, and reflexology for men and women. Organic fruits, exotic spices, and rose petals make this a fragrant and luxurious experience.
Pink Sand Beaches on Bermuda
Located less than two hours from New York and Washington, DC, Bermuda is the perfect long-weekend destination in large part due to its famous pink beaches. The unique pinkish hue actually comes from miniscule creations that call the island’s massive coral reef system home. That doesn’t take away from the beauty of these unique beaches though, my favorite of which is located alongside the Fairmont Southampton resort. This massive hotel enjoys a prime position along the Atlantic Ocean, guaranteeing guests prime access to the pink sand beaches and warm waters for which the island is famous. One of my favorite things to do there though is to wander down the shore and discover quiet coves and hidden beaches I can call my own; at least for the day.
