Hainan is home to a large population of 36 ethnic minorities, the predominant ones being the Li and Miao people. This heritage park, which lies about 30 kilometers (19 miles) northeast of Sanya in the Ganzaling nature preservation area, is home to a Li village where you can explore their culture, food, clothes and even tattoos. There are a variety of dances and shows that feature traditional costumes and activities like weaving, collecting betel nuts and spearing fish.
