Atlantis Resort

My sister freaked out when she heard that Kenny Chesney would be playing a special concert at the Atlantis Resort on Memorial Day weekend last year. She begged me to go, and with neither of us having been to the Bahamas, it was an absolutely fabulous experience. We shopped and laid out by the pool during the days, while experiencing all the nightlife and restaurants that the resort has to offer. We had a great weekend, and Kenny was the topping on the cake!

The Atlantis Paradise Island is a resort and waterpark located on Paradise Island, in the Bahamas. It officially opened in 1998. I visited while on a cruise to the Caribbean and was astonished with the large aquarium that extends for most of the ground floor (internal and external) hotel. The structure is quite impressive and glitzy, Las Vegas style. The hotel is huge and spread over several structures and very stylish. The main attraction is definitely the huge aquarium, big casino, and large gardens that separate the hotel from the sea. Place is beautiful, like it’s from another planet. The aquarium is a long tunnel that gives access to the waterpark. Huge pool with several long giant windows, one can see rays, sharks, huge tuna and a whole range of exotic fish. A visit here is very nice, everything has been designed to create the impression of swimming with the fishes. Really big and impressive, not to be missed!

The beach not far from the Atlantis hotel (Atlantis Beach) was perfectly perfect. The water, like a blue crystal. The sand, like sugar. The air, like a cool refreshing drink. It doesn’t get any better than this.
