Dave’s work has appeared in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, BBC Travel, the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Magazine, and many other publications. He is the author of Bed, Breakfast & Drunken Threats: Dispatches from the Margins of Europe, which chronicles how he created a diplomatic incident with Malta in 1986 and sought to remedy the offense he caused 25 years later, among many other European misadventures.
